If a competitor is unable to compete due to contraction of / exposure to COVID-19 he / she should inform the organisers of this in writing, together with, the positive COVID-19 results before / on 1st November 2022 and a refund will be given less R 500 (handling fee) after the event has been successfully staged.
The 2022 Roof of Africa regulations (not to be confused with the COVID Cancellation Policy) state that if a refund is requested before 30th September 2022, a refund will be given less R500 (handling fee). After 30th September 2022 a 50% refund will be given. After 14th October 2022 NO refunds will be given.
The refund policy is in place to protect the event and its successful staging.
If a competitor is unable to compete due to contraction of / exposure to COVID-19, the competitor has no right to claim against the Organiser in respect of any loss or damage he / she may incur. If the dates are in line with the refund policy, the competitor will receive a portion of the fee after deductions have been made, after the event has been successfully staged.
If the Organisers cancel the event due to COVID-19 circumstances, all competitors will be eligible to receive a refund on their entry. In the event of any of the above, other than the entry fee (less R 500: administration and bank fees), the competitor has no right to claim against the Organiser in respect of any loss or damage he / she may incur.
