SCREENING, DOCUMENTATION AND SCRUTINEERING
November 24th 2021 – How to make your screening, documentation and scrutineering experience an effortless and quick one:Venue: AVANI Lesotho Hotel (S29°19’8.07″ E27°29’17.89″) The COMPETITOR has to come to documentation, as they have to sign the indemnity. If the competitor is under 18 years of age, they have to be accompanied by a guardian / parent. Do Documentation before Scrutineering (you need your number stickers before presenting your bike). Check your bike number on www.roofofadrica.co.ls Have a copy of your license on your phone to show when prompted to do so (even if you’ve emailed it already). Riders have to have your Vaccination Card / Certificate at hand. These will be checked at Documentation. Crew also need to bring their Vaccination Cards / Certificates to Documentation to be checked. Please have the name and contact number for the person we should contact in case of an emergency. This person should be in Lesotho and should be aware that we might phone them on WhatsApp. Make sure to sign after having read the indemnity on the Documentation form. Go load your GPS at the GPS table. Go to the Race Control to get your timing chip. Remember to bring R100 for a timing chip if you don’t have one. Trackers will be provided in your rider packs. These trackers will need to be mounted before scrutineering – Instructions will be provided with the tracker. Present your bike at Scrutineering. This is not self-scrutineering. Can also be used for warmth and as a signal device)1 x Triangular Bandage (multiple uses)1 x SOS 6 First Aid Dressing (can cover any size wound)1 x 100mm Conforming Bandage1 x Burn Shield Dressing 100x100mm (this can be used as a cold compress, antiseptic dressing and burn dressing)1 x CPR mouthpiece (recommended)4 x Pain Killers4 x Plasters (range of sizes)1 x Pair Surgical Gloves2 x Medical Masks (one for injured person, as well as one for person helping someone else)ENVIRONMENTAL and SAFETY within the PITSFire extinguisher (minimum of 2.5kg)Environmental matExhaust noise within permissible limitsBlack bagsON YOUR PERSON WHEN RIDINGTwo litre of drinking fluidCompliant first aid kitSpace blanketAnd don’t forget to drop off your fuel cans.Your can has to be clearly marked with your bike number (obtain your number from www.roofofafrica.co.ls).As you enter AVANI Lesotho Hotel from the road, on your left you’ll see a demarcated fuel can drop-off.These fuel cans have to be dropped at AVANI on November 24 from between 10;00 and 20;00.Riders do not have to send separate fuel cans for the two racing days.Fuel cans will be taken from Friday’s refuel to Saturday’s refuel. TIME TRIAL THURSDAY
Time Trial will start and finish at Thaba Bosiu Cultural Village (29°20’50.44″S 27°39’46.42″E).Competitors may commence with their respective time trials between 08:00 and 15:00, time slots have been made available below. It is the responsibility of each competitor to present themselves to the Start Officials between the specified times:Gold – 08:00 – 09:00
Silver – 08:30 – 10:00
Bronze – 09:30 – 15:00
Iron – 09:30 – 15:00Competitors have to complete this section. If, however a competitor does not finish the time trial, he / she will be given the slowest riders time in their class plus a 30-minute penalty.
The competitors finishing fastest in their classes during their Time Trials will each win a cash prize.
 
Due to COVID-19 regulations and the vaccination protocols in Lesotho there will be no Round the Houses or EnduroX in 2021.
 
FRIDAY AND SATURDAY RACE DAYS
Start order for FridayThe Iron Class – start is at 09:00.The Bronze Class – start is at 08:00.The Silver Class – start is at 07:00.The Gold Class – start is at 06:00.Based on time trial result. Competitors will start this day based on their combined overall times from the first two racing days (Time Trial and Friday).The Iron Class – start is at 09:00.The first 10min will be on corrected time; thereafter, intervals of 20sec (2 riders every 20 seconds).
 The Bronze Class – start is at 08:00.The first 10min will be on corrected time; thereafter, intervals of 20sec (2 riders every 20 seconds).
 The Silver Class – start is at 07:00.The first 10min will be on corrected time; thereafter, intervals of 20sec (2 riders every 20 seconds).
 The Gold Class – start is at 06:00The first 10min will be on corrected time; thereafter, intervals of 20sec (2 riders every 20 seconds).
 
Saturday will comprise of 100 – 180km of riding in the Mountain Kingdom.
